Our Mission Statement is as follows. This is a free and voluntary organization, dedicated to the preservation and protection of the bountiful natural fish and wildlife resources of the State of Oklahoma. The goals of the association will be to encourage a stronger camaraderie among the Oklahoma State Game Wardens; to encourage and developed high standards and practices of professional wildlife law enforcement; to promote and increased public awareness of the activities performed by the Oklahoma State Game Wardens; to encourage public support and participation in natural resource protection; and to accomplish these purposes without disrupting the normal duties of the Oklahoma State Game Wardens.

The Oklahoma State Scholarship Winners 2006 Stormy Shoopman, a Senior Wildlife Conservation major at Southeastern
Oklahoma State University, is this year's OSGWA Scholarship winner
at the Durant school.
Stormy graduated from Colbert, Okla. High School
where she received the Oklahoma State FFA Degree. In college Stormy has participated
in many extra-curricular activities to gain experience in the field
to go along with her academic endeavors. Stormy has pulled
deer jaws, assisted in research of Chronic Wasting Disease, worked
at the Tishomingo NWR, assisted a graduate student collecting research
on Lake Texoma, and assisted SOSU Professor Dr. Doug Wood with an
ornithological research project on the Tishomingo NWR.
Stormy has been a teacher's assistant for several
SOSU Conservation class labs. Stormy chose the field of Conservation because of
her interest in animals, hunting, fishing, and other outdoor projects. Congratulations
to the OSGWA's 2006 SOSU Scholarship winner, Miss Stormy Shoopman.
